Member Rules and Regulations

These rules are not intended to restrict your use of the Club in any way but to enhance your enjoyment and the enjoyment of all other members.

 

CONDUCT

 

All members while on Club property shall conduct themselves in a proper manner and shall not behave so as to interfere with the enjoyment of club property.

 

Every member who introduces a guest to the privileges of the Club shall be responsible for seeing that a similar standard of conduct as stated above is observed by such guest.

 

Any damage done by a member or guest to any property of the Club will be charged to the member responsible. As well, members are expected to make good of any damage they may cause to neighbouring properties.

 


 

DRESS CODE - GOLF COURSE

 

Bally Haly's dress code is as per the RCGA guidelines for men, women and juniors.  Members and guests may be denied access to the golf course if they do not adhere to the following guidelines:

 

Tops:  Polo golf shirts with or without sleeves; sleeveless shirts must have a collar, mock neck or turtleneck; shirts may be worn tucked or untucked but no midriffs.  Tank tops are not permitted. 

 

Bottoms:  The following items are permitted:  pants, capris, shorts, or shorts.  The hem of shorts or shorts must extend below the person's fingertips when the arm is placed straight down the side of the leg.  No denim, spandex or fleece sweatshirts fabrics may be worn on the golf course.  Bottoms must be tailored and no cut-offs will be permitted.

 

Footwear:  Bally Haly is strictly a soft spike golf course.


 

ATTIRE CLUBHOUSE- Bally Haly's Dress Code reflects the standards desired by the membership.

 

Jeans are permitted in the clubhouse.   Please refrain from wearing hats, caps or visors in the clubhouse.

 

Golf shoes are not permitted in the upstairs of the clubhouse.

 

Please adhere to dress regulations at all times.

 


 

LEAVE OF ABSENCE

 

On written application of a member to the Secretary, the Board of Directors may grant to such member a leave of absence on their golf fee for any period up to two years, during which period such member shall cease to be a golfing member of  the club however is required to pay the social fee. On approval of Leave of Absence the member will receive a credit on their golf fees depending on when the Secretary receives the application. SOCIAL/CURLING MEMBERS

 

Social and Curling members are permitted to play 8 rounds of golf per year subject to arranging starting times through the starter and paying the applicable rate.

 


 

FOOD AND BEVERAGE

 

Food and beverages are confined to licensed areas only. When facilities are open, food and beverage other than served in the dining room and bar area will not be permitted in the Clubhouse. Food from outside is not permitted except during club functions.

 


 

CHARGE ACCOUNTS

 

Each member receives a charge card that may be used for food and beverage charges at the bar, kitchen or on course canteen.

 

The credit limit for each adult members or couple members is $500.00. Members are not permitted to exceed this limit.

 

Members may purchase $150.00 food and beverage credit at a discounted price of $135.00 as long as your account is at a ZERO balance or in credit. In order to receive the discount you must pay by cheque, debit or cash.

 

Statements are mailed to each member throughout the year and are to be paid within 30 days of invoice date.

 


 

THEFT, LOST ARTICLES OR INJURY

 

The club does not accept responsibility for articles lost or damaged by theft, fire or otherwise, nor is the club responsible for any damage or injury sustained by a member, dependent or guest on or about Club premises.

 

The Club is not responsible for golf clubs left in club storage after October 31 of each year. Members will be reminded through signage and email when clubs must be removed from club storage.

 


 

SMOKING

 

Smoking is prohibited in all areas of the club and outside decks. 

 


 

PARKING

 

Parking on the traffic circle or in front of the clubhouse is prohibited; it is a designated fire lane. The use of this area is limited to dropping off or picking up passengers. Members violating this rule may have their vehicle towed at their own expense.

 


 

COURSE REGULATIONS & ETIQUETTE

 

Bally Haly is a non-metal spike golf course. If wearing golf shoes ,only soft spikes are permitted.

Each player must have their own set of clubs and must only play one ball unless hitting a provisional ball. Two players may not play out of the same bag.

There should be no more than 4 players to a group. The Golf Professional or Starter has the authority to pair up single or double matches together in an effort to speed up play.
